- Remember that you should never be ‘on’ a diet. Your regular eating habits are your diet and shifting them to being leaner, more healthy is not a crash diet, it’s a lifestyle change.
- Don’t skip breakfast. You’ve got to keep fuel in the furnace, just make it healthy. If you go to extremes and skip meal after meal, your metabolism will shift too and you won’t lose weight.
- Drink plenty of water. When you feel hungry, have a glass of water. If you are still hungry ten minutes later, have a lite snack. Drinking plenty of water is always healthy. If you feel you are just bored of water, try fruity herbal teas.
- Use positive language. Say You want to not eat sweets not that you don’t want to eat sweets. Keep your willpower moving in a positive direction. Don’t say you can’t have something, say you are choosing to not have it. Remember, you are in control!
